Teh Work Experience

Hello and Welcome to Teh Legendary Newb Adventures (it was purposely spelt that way). this week i had work experience and i was working with Calvin in the I.T department under the supervision of our boss Pak Izule. We fixed computers and peoples laptops.

Day 1 of Learning

On our first day we chose what we wanted to learn hardware or software and as Calvin and I prefer the hardware side of I.T we chose hardware. Our first task was to write what we know about hardware. We both had a long list of things written. our boss (even though he didn't want to be called a boss) was a very nice guy and helped us if we got something wrong. Towards the end of the day we built our first computer out of a old computer that only had a motherboard and a power supply inside it. We replaced the hard drive, RAM, disk drive and it worked perfectly.

Our first fix. before shot....

Day 2 of Work Experience

We started the day by watching the movie "Pirates of Silicon Valley", the movie is on how Bill Gates and Steve Jobs began there legacy as the most know names in the computing world. It is a good movie and gives people a better understanding into the world of these computing giants.

After the movie we were told to install windows XP on the old computer we made the day before. It said that it would take 39 minutes to load but it took a hour so we researched some hardware while we waited. After it was done the old computer that we fixed was completely capable of being used in a home.

The movie we watched

Day 3 Of Our Journey

It was day 3 and our water supply was low as we installed the schools software on 2 of the 3 brand new computers the school had bought, they were simbadda and luckily for us they already had windows on it. Next we had to check whether the other 15 old computers worked or not, 13 of them were still capable of usage. 1 of the brand new computers needed a different type of windows so we installed it.

2nd computer

Our next task was to create a LAN cable then a Cross LAN cable. It was a very complicated task because the wires are so small. We had to use youtube to find a tutorial with an american guy that kept telling us to fluff up then fluff down. It was exhausting.

LAN cable steps

Our next mission of the day was to install 2 programs into the school computers, the programs were Aku Shaper and Evernote. We had to do this by 4 o'clock because the school computers automatically turn off. We quickly installed all the software and had some spare time over so we installed 1 of the new computers into the I.T lab.

Day 4 of Adventure

Today we had to install the last new computer, the only other thing we could do is wait for the software to install on the 3rd computer which was going into the teachers lounge.

Day 5 of our Quest

Straight into work where we installed windows XP into 2 hard drives and we had to help so many people that came inside to get us to fix there computer, in one case all we had to do was turn the wifi on and off and in another a girl was wondering why her work wasn't still open even though she hadn't saved and closed the application. It was killing my faith in humanity. We then were given the task of burning 19 CDs. It was done with minutes to spare and then work experience was over. It was a shame to have to go back to school. I enjoyed working in the I.T Department and would consider it for a job.
I will remember this experience for a very long time.

and for those that want to see the inside of a I-Mac.

There You Go..

Hey Guys,  The Is Teh Legendary Newb's Blog Of Death.

And I'm gonna show you what i did over the holidays...

All i did was:

                                                  GAME      GAME          GAME          GAME          GAME

                                                  GAME      GAME          GAME         GAME           GAME

And the games I played do not require fast Internet, just a reasonable speed, these games were as follows:   Red Crucible 2
               Adventure Quest
               Borderlands
The Elder Scrolls V : Skyrim

*NOTE* I have a Mac, not a PC

But first a personal biography:

My name is Ryan. I am a 15 year old boy who is Aussie! but lives in Indonesia. i have large gaming experience the first game i got was Atari's 84 in 1. i have completed an arsenal of games such as; The Halo Trilogy, Call of Duty 1-8, and lots of others.

So today i will be showing you the games listed above and rate them according to some factors:
Multiplayability
Campaign
Variety of Playing
Game Length
Game Size
Is it easy to get?
Glitches/ Bugs

We will start of with Red Crucible 2

Overall Rating: 6/10

The is a few bad things about this game which are as follows; it is only multiplayer, lags a bit and still has a few glitches. however it has a small game size is easy to get and has a variety of weapons and gear you can use. so it is a good game for people looking for a quick FPS game without the 10GB download and the huge price tag.

Next is The Elder Scrolls : Skyrim

Overall Rating: 9/10

This game has a lot of variety such as being able to choose what quests you go on, you can pick your characters path (nice and doing quests or Evil, killing every towns chickens). there is also a variety of weapons, armors, spells and dragon shouts to choose from. one downside to this game is that if you play it on a PC or Mac you get a bit of lag and sometimes it can get very annoying.

Now for the 3rd game Adventure Quest

Overall Rating 7/10

This game is completely online which means the is no downloads required which is good, but there is a bad thing about that; it lags a great deal. there can be errors in saving and a few spelling mistakes. and there is not as much variety as Skyrim offers but still a good game in my opinion because you can be a powerful mage, ranger or warrior which i always like to see.

Last but not least is Borderlands

Overall Rating 10/10

This game is outstanding for people who love a FPS adventure role-playing game. this game won game of the year and it rightly deserves so. this game has a numerous amount of quests, a campaign with a boss battles, a choice in characters and special abilities based on what was chosen. there are also over 100 types of monsters, npcs and quest which you can kill, crush or complete. overall in my opinion.
THIS IS THE BEST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED AND CANNOT WAIT FOR THE SEQUEL.

All games are not owned by me and i do not take credit for the games. all i did was reveiw and play the games.

PS* i didn't review Call Of Duty because there a too many haters.
